2018 marks the 16th anniversary of the annual Journeys Across Media (JAM) conference for postgraduate researchers, organised by the Department of Film, Theatre and Television at the University of Reading. This year, JAM will take place on 15 June 2018, at the University of Reading.
JAM seeks to investigate and celebrate the diversity and interconnections (‘journeys’) between various forms of media, including but not limited to research from the disciplines of Film, Theatre, Television, as well as related fields within and beyond the Arts and Humanities. The conference offers support and space for debate and discussion for postgraduate researchers working on any aspect related to ‘Journeys Across Media’. The theme of our call for papers is open to the interpretation of participants.
We invite abstracts of up to 200 words from postgraduate researchers for 20-minute research papers or 20-minute presentations in alternative formats such as performance pieces or audio-visual presentations. Please submit your abstract and a short academic bio (up to 100 words) by 16 March 2018 to jam@pgr.reading.ac.uk. Please include your full name, institutional affiliation, contact information, and any technical requirements of your presentation in the email.
We look forward to receiving your proposal.
