The Bamberg Graduate School of Literary, Cultural and Media Studies (BaGraLCM), in cooperation with the departments of English Literature and American Studies at the University of Bamberg, is hosting an interdisciplinary conference on war, trauma, and disease in past and present from March 9 to March 11, 2018. The conference organizers invite proposals of up to 300 words for individual papers of 20 minutes from scholars working in Literary and Cultural Studies, the Medical Humanities, Gender Studies, Psychology, Medicine, and History.

Topics may include but are certainly not limited to historical and contemporary representations of war and trauma, but also disease and catastrophe in

Scholars interested in participating should submit an abstract of no more than 300 words and a short CV until Sep. 29, 2017, addressed to: warconference.bagralcm@uni-bamberg.de

This conference is particularly directed at researchers at an early stage in their career.
